Mother with her Child

As your child changes

lets make sleep changes too!

We have the know-how you need.

The way you handle your child's sleep challenges are just as unique to you as they are to them. The way we teach them should be just as unique as well. Sleep is a complex subject and one that requires time and understanding to be successful and this is dependant on the goal that is specific to you and your child.

As a parent myself, I also know that sleep coaching isn't always the most affordable option when looking at working with a sleep coach on a 1:1 basis. However, when you turn to books, google, and Facebook groups. Often these have an abundance of information which often helps but sometimes there can still be questions, there can still be pieces that haven't quite been solved.

I have created this amazing space to marry the two together. A mixture of the tailored and generic advice, connecting a space to ask questions, and learn from a sleep coach all at an affordable price.

DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP TO UNDERSTAND CHANGES TO YOUR CHILD IN BOTH DEVELOPMENT AND SLEEP.

The most important thing I recognise is no parent and no child are the same. Sleep truly is unique to your child and the way you parent. I also know that your babies, your toddlers and you should be getting some of this well-earned sleep. This area provides you with access to everything you need to successfully teach and integrate healthy, long-lasting, and solid sleep foundations along with solving current sleep challenges.

It's truly a comprehensive service and enables you to create a plan for you and your family.

Does your baby nap well and then wakes frequently at night?

Maybe your toddler flat out refuses daytime sleep, will then settle at bedtime only to be up at the crack of dawn!?

Or maybe your in the midst of teething, a developmental change, nap transitions, or possibly you just don't even know where to begin?

Please don't worry, I have you covered from every angle!

This area is there to grow with your child, it will tell you about the up and coming changes, and what to expect. I have created it as a constant guide to navigating those bumps in the road, providing you with confidence and knowledge so you and your little one can be in control and deal accordingly.

A slight toolkit or handbook to give you a bit of insight into what might be about to come when it comes to everything in the land of sleep.

They will

develop...

We all know that no matter what, your little one is going to grow up. I also know that as your little one grows, lots of changes happen.

First we have a big change to their sleep as we come out of the fourth trimester and as you little one's sleep cycles mature come a few challenges but you will know what to expect and the best way to navigate this change.

When they start to crawl, stand and walk you both will be so excited but when they then start to fight those naps and bedtimes because of it, you will have the tools to get them right through this developmental phase.

There will come a time when its time to drop those night feeds, the bottle completely or you decide it now time to wean from the boob but you will know exactly what to do and when to do it...

Then comes potty training and sleep may take a hit, however you will have the tools to carry on sailing through not only with potty training itself but any other bumps along the way.

Meet Rachel

This is her story

This was my 18-month-old son, Alfie.

He was still waking up every 45 minutes -1 hour overnight when I sought the help of a few very expensive sleep consultants. They told me that I MUST lay him down awake and then endure any crying that may be about to take place.

Of course, this was far easier said than done! This is more of what it looked like...

I'd try putting him down while he was awake (agree this is still what is needed) but inevitably then the crying would begin. I would then sit beside him as he got more and more upset not being allowed to provide comfort because I was told not to and I didn't want to break those rules and start teaching more 'wrong behaviour'.

By this point 5 very long minutes had passed (queue the tumbleweed). I was fighting every urge in my body that was telling me to pick him up, each and every one of those cries pulled against my heartstrings. My head was telling me to just ignore it, a few more minutes and you will be fine because he would then be asleep.

So, eventually, this worked, after about an hour of crying, he finally fell asleep.

Only for then 2 hours later for him to wake up again and both of us had to endure the same process over and over again.

Truthfully, I now know he wasn't ever really teaching himself to settle, he was just falling asleep out of exhaustion and it always played on my mind what if he just fell asleep because he just felt that no one was ever coming back to help him.

No child ever should feel that way! Feel that the person that cares for them and loves them dearly isn't coming back, teaching that through childhood can only lead to further issues mentally down the line.

Lets stop, start listening, and start responding.

This is why I created all my programs and especially this area so that we respond, we ultimately learn the true needs that your little one is trying to communicate to you. Learn when they should be going to sleep, by reading when they want to. Responding when they are in need and helping them to settle back to sleep if required.

The methods are gentle (truly!), they are fully responsive, they promote secure attachment throughout, and create a safe and secure place to go on a sleep learning journey to success.
